Welcoming Our New Apprentice, Jake

20.08.2025

At Property Care, we believe in building more than just properties – we are passionate about building people, careers and futures. That is why we are delighted to welcome Jake, who has joined us as a Property Care Apprentice. Jake will be working towards an NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry, gaining valuable hands-on experience across a wide range of our residential, commercial and educational projects.

Why Apprenticeships Matter in Construction

The construction industry has long faced a skills shortage, with demand for qualified tradespeople often outstripping supply. Apprenticeships are an essential solution, providing young people with the opportunity to learn directly from experienced professionals while studying for nationally recognised qualifications.

At Property Care, we see apprenticeships as an investment in the future of both our company and the wider industry. By helping to develop new talent, we ensure that high standards of workmanship and craftsmanship are preserved for the next generation.

Jake’s Apprenticeship Journey

Welcoming Our New Apprentice, Jake

As part of his NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry, Jake will rotate across different aspects of construction projects. From structural timber work to detailed joinery and finishing, he will gain a full understanding of how carpentry integrates with the broader building process. He will also work alongside other trades, learning how electrical, plumbing and finishing services are coordinated to deliver complete refurbishments and builds.

Our senior carpenters and site managers will provide direct mentoring, ensuring Jake benefits not only from formal training but also from decades of practical industry knowledge. This real-world learning environment is a cornerstone of Property Care’s approach to apprenticeships.

Jake’s training will also be supported through our collaboration with Ace Training, where he will gain the classroom knowledge and technical understanding required for his NVQ. At Property Care, we complement this by providing hands-on experience across live projects, giving Jake the opportunity to apply what he learns in practice.

We are equally proud of our ongoing partnerships with local colleges, which help us to identify, support, and train the next generation of construction professionals. These relationships ensure that apprentices like Jake benefit from a blended learning approach that combines academic study with practical site-based skills.

Supporting the Next Generation of Tradespeople

Property Care is committed to supporting apprentices throughout their career journey. We believe that offering opportunities like this strengthens our team while also giving young people a stable platform for growth. Apprentices like Jake bring fresh ideas, energy and enthusiasm to projects, while also developing the practical skills needed to succeed in a demanding industry.

Our commitment to apprenticeships reflects our wider company philosophy. We aim to deliver outstanding results not only in construction projects but also in people’s professional lives. By investing in training and skills development, we ensure our clients benefit from motivated, highly skilled operatives who take pride in their work.

We warmly welcome Jake to the Property Care family and look forward to supporting him as he develops his career in carpentry.
