The project in Oxford was commissioned by St John’s College to enhance and adapt the property for modern use. The works centred on a loft conversion and a three storey extension combined with internal remodelling to create functional and versatile new spaces. The scheme included the installation of a new bathrooms, the creation of a dedicated study and an extension to increase overall floor area. The design and build were carefully planned to optimise available space while maintaining the property’s character and meeting the specific needs of the client including striking materials choices to the client’s satisfaction.
We began by developing a detailed plan to integrate the loft conversion and extension with the existing building structure. Our in-house team coordinated all trades, ensuring the works progressed efficiently and to the agreed programme. The new bathroom and study were positioned to maximise usability, while the loft layout was designed to provide comfortable living space with adequate natural light and ventilation. Close liaison with St John’s College ensured the project met their functional requirements and maintained the standard expected of their properties.
The completed project has transformed the property, providing new living and working areas that are both practical and visually appealing.
